Are portable ladders of an industrial grade, serviceable and correctly installed?
Are elevating platforms working correctly?
Are entries, exits, and access platforms correct ly installed?
Is there provision for material handling?
Is access adequate to carry the specified loads?
Are the access points effectively lit?
Regular maintenance, preventive checks, and inspections on all height access
equipment, including ladders must be scheduled and documented. Checks should be in

manufacturer’s instructions are more comprehensive then they take precedence over
the standards.
