Bruce Rathbun

Bruce was a true Chow lover. He and his wife Annette had many champions through the years and blacks
were always his favorite. He and Annette would support all the local shows and would not hesitate to
travel a good distance to support a Chow Specialty. He could sit for hours and talk about dogs, past and
present and he remembered pedigrees and what each dog looked like. He was a wealth of information and
always willing to share, never condescending and tried to find good in each person as well as their dog.

Bruce was a true friend. He was always concerned about how others were doing and never complained
about how he might be doing. He worked for Harley-Davidson for many years and traveled all over the
country for them. He would stop and visit Chow friends where ever his travels took him and we would
look forward to our frequent late night discussions. Bruce and Annette were instrumental in helping start
the West Texas Chow Rescue and took dogs in and helped with transportation whenever they could.

We will miss you Bruce but take solace in knowing you are reunited with Annette and free from the pains
of this life. Till we meet again........
