Editor's Message
I’d like to thank Michael Heldt for serving as Editor of Chow Life for the past seven years and his help during the
transition.
For those of you who don’t know me, I have been involved in Chows since the late 80’s. My husband, Lew, and I have
bred and shown several Chows to their Championship under the kennel name of Enchanted Chows. I currently
serve on the CCCI Board, I’m involved in several Regional Specialty clubs, and several All-Breed clubs. I have
been the Chow Life columnist for the New England Chow Chow Club for the past few years and I was previously
the Editor of “Woof & Wag”, the newsletter of the Anderson (IN) Kennel Club. I enjoy photography and I’ve self-
published three photographic books as part of photo exhibits in a New York gallery.
In order to keep Chow Life as a showcase of our breed, I will be working with the Board to find ways to improve the
magazine and make it financially sound.
I’m looking forward to being your Editor. If you have any questions, would like to submit an article or place an ad,
you can email me at ChowLife2018@gmail.com
Winter Issue Deadline
October 15th
Corrections: In the Summer issue of Chow Life, the Top Winning Obedience dog’s name was incorrectly spelled. It
should have read Zorros Dynasty Andy’s Phantom in the Dark. Also, in the Top 10 Chow Chows by Breed Points, the
titles were omitted on the #8 dog, BISS GCH Jenuine My-Sam’s Black Magic, we apologize for the misprint.
