▪ Should be included in the list of research titles approved
by their respective College;
▪ In accordance with the prescribed format of the University
and the DA-BAR for students and faculty, respectively;
▪ Defined budgetary requirement of the proposed study;
Maximum allowable fund to be allocated to approved
programs/ projects/studies would be P25,000.00 for studies
having budgetary requirements of P50,000.00. On the other
hand, 50% of the total cost shall be allocated to studies with
budgetary requirements lower than P50,000.00
a.2. Publication
• Research results shall be submitted to the CvSU
Research Journal’s Editorial Committee as technical
paper for publication.
• Students’ thesis shall have the student as the main
author
a.3. Intellectual Property Rights
• Patented product shall be treated as a joint ownership of the
author and the University.
• If commercialized, student and the faculty adviser are
eligible to acquire an equal share from 70% of the royalties
and the remaining 30% to the University.
a.4. Workload Credit
• A faculty researcher who exceeds the minimum requirement
for teaching shall be entitled to a research overload pay with
the corresponding credit points earned for the semester.
The College Research, Development and Extension (RDE) Coordinator
in consultation with the department chairpersons selects the entries for
their corresponding colleges.
The thesis proposals are then submitted to the Research Center on
or before the following schedules:
▪ September to November – Theses to be conducted during the
second semester
▪ June to August - Theses to be conducted during the first
semester
