Section 9. Vegetable Diversification for Productivity
Enhancement of Selected Rainfed Rice Farms in the
Province of Cavite
This is a million-peso joint technology commercialization
project of the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) and
CvSU partnership with the local government units (LGUs). The
goals of the project are to: 1) Support the AFMA and MTPDP,
2004-2010 in attaining food security at all times through the
implementation of an agricultural diversification program in an
underutilized farm lands; 2) Improve the productivity of rainfed
rice farms; 3) Increase the income of rice farmers; 4) Ensure
sustainability of land resource; and 5) Strengthen stakeholders’
