3. HOW TO OPERATE THE MACHINE
3.1 Firstly, put the entire truss sections on a flat ground and align them in a straight line. Turn the
hexagonal coupler to lock onto the next truss section. Continue to turn the hexagonal coupler until the
truss blades meet the next truss section’s blade. Next, fasten the screeder splice and float splice onto
the respective truss blades. Continuous the above process until all truss sections are joint to form a
single screeder.
3.2 Raise the complete length of screeder to rest on two wooden timbers on both end of the screeder.
If the screeder exceeds 6m, additional lifting point may be necessary.
3.3 On both wooden timbers where the screeder sits, nail the 50mm nails, 5mm away from the edge of
the truss blade respectively. Secure a strong string from one nail to the other. Adjust hexagonal
coupler at every joint until they are in line with the level string. It may be necessary to readjust some
hexagonal couplers after the preliminary adjustment. Therefore the screeder splice and float splice
must not be fully tightened to enable final adjustment. Secure the lock nuts to the hexagonal coupler.
Secure all bolts and nuts at all joints. Finally, check that all bolts and nuts are tightened.
3.4 Un-rewind steel cables from the two winches and secure onto their respective fix points. Spread
concrete evenly across the screed length. Turn on the air supply which will start the piston vibrating.
Slowly and evenly, winch the screeder from two ends. For engine powered screeder, start the engine
and belting will rotate the shaft to start the screeder’s truss to vibrate in high frequency.
4. INTRODUCTION MACHINE
CIMAR™ ultra-flat screeders are available in two model namely ultra-screeders powered by engine
system and ultra-flat screeders powered by pneumatic system.
