3. Specific Safety Rules and Precautions
3.1) Specific Safety Rules:
Maintain labels and nameplates on the hydraulic hand saw. These carry
important information. If unreadable or missing, contact seller for a replacement.
Never leave the hydraulic hand saw unattended when it is running. Always
turn off the hydraulic power pack before leaving.
Do not allow children and other unauthorized people to handle or play with
the hydraulic hand saw.
Industrial applications must follow OSHA guidelines.
Prior to using the hydraulic hand saw, make sure no fingers are resting on
the hand lever when not in use. This is to prevent hand lever from accidently
being squeeze off, which cause sudden rotation of the blade.
Do not allow other people to stand beside the hydraulic hand saw when the
equipment is being operated. Always keep hands and feet safely away from the
moving parts of the equipment.
Always make sure guard is in place and in proper working condition prior to
starting the hydraulic hand saw.
Always point hydraulic hand saw away from people.
Always maintain a firm grip on the handles with both hands to ensure
proper control.
Do not modify the hydraulic hand saw. This equipment will do the work better
and safer at the speed and capacity for which it was designed.
3.2) Fire and Explosion Precautions
During operation keep away from any fuel and fumes that are flammable,
and potentially explosive items. Sparks will produce during cutting process that
lead to ignition with fatal consequences. Always have multiple ABC class fire
extinguishers nearby.
