2.2) Personal Safety
Stay alert. Watch what you are doing, and use common sense when operating
the power pack.
Avoid accidental starting. Be sure all switched is in its “OFF” position before
performing any service, maintenance, or cleaning procedures on the unit.
Use safety equipment. Approve hearing protection must also be used.
2.3) Tool Use and Care
Do not use the hydraulic power pack if it does not turn it on or off. Any
power pack that cannot be controlled is dangerous and must be serviced by a
qualified technician.
Store idle power pack out of reach from children and other untrained
persons. Hydraulic power pack are dangerous in the hands of untrained users.
Maintain power pack with care. Properly maintained power pack. Do not use a
“Dodamaged power pack. Tag damaged tools with words like not use”
until repaired.
Check for breakage of parts, and any other condition that may affect the power
pack’s operation. If damaged, have the power pack services before using. Many
accidents are caused by poorly maintained tools.
Use only accessories that are recommended by the manufacturer for your model.
Accessories that may be suitable for one equipment may become hazardous when
used on another tool.
2.4) Service
Power pack service must be performed only by qualified repair personnel.
Service or maintenance performed by unqualified personnel could result in a risk
of injury or damage to the machine.
When servicing the power pack, use only identical replacement parts. Follow
instructions in the “Inspection, Maintenance, And Cleaning” section of this
manual. Use of unauthorized parts or failure to follow maintenance instructions
may result in injury or damage to the machine.
