A1 DIGITAL ILLUSTRATION

This assignment was an introductory project for First Year
students towards digital manipulation. In this assignment, the students
were tasked to produce an A3 size poster of a department event
using Adobe Photoshop. We were encouraged to explore the array
of tools on Photoshop such as layer mask, brush tool, marquee tool,
and etc. Since this was not a technical based assignment, there was
more room for creative freedom. Students who were new to
Photoshop were able to explore its functions when composing their
posters, which were beneficial for the cohort to familiarise themselves
with the software.

Although many different styles of compositions and graphics
were used by students to convey information, a few criterias were
highlighted to ensure the clarity of information was maintained. These
criterias includes font orientation and sizing, colour palette usage,
and suitability of context, just to name a few.
