“I was inspired to create a poster relating to a cultural night
event as our faculty has a diverse set of students. The colour
palette i have chosen consisted of warm oranges and yellows
that were contrasted with a cool midnight blue to produce a
striking poster. The focal point of the poster was a drawing
created in illustrator of a woman wearing a sarong over her
head. The colours and the hooded lady was to imply that the
event would be held at night and was themed around the
mystical/fantasy aspect that traditional cultures possess
through their legends.

The fonts from my initial poster were changed to produce a
more legible title even from a distance. More descriptions of
the events were added to help further clarify the event. “
