A3 DIGITAL ARCHITECTURE DRAWING (P2)

As an integration with the Year 1 Semester 2 Design Studio
course, the 2D CAD class assigned students to include digital work
within their final P2 presentation.

P2 was the Design Studio’s final project, requiring the students
to design a retreat home for a butterfly enthused client and his family
at a site in Janda Baik, Bentong, Pahang. With the total built up area
ranging from 200sqm to 240sqm, this final project is what will help the
students transition into their 2nd year.

For the 2D CAD aspect of the project, students were tasked to
digitize their section drawings. They are to proceed with one of the
two following options:
a. Digitize 2 sections in 1:100 scale
b. Digitize a detail wall to foundation section in 1:50 scale

Using AutoCAD as the main software for digital draft making, the
students were then asked to render their works with Photoshop or any
other softwares they deemed suitable.
