Nana Hannah’s devotion to her family did not end at their Weston
residence. She was totally committed to seeing her nephew, Grover,
reach his summit of success in life. By 1911 Grover had found his life’s
calling as a retail merchant. Following his high school education,
Grover had decided that he wanted to expand his father’s business and
he renamed it the “Grover Cronin Store”. Hannah encouraged Grover
to learn more about the legal processes of acquiring properties and the
intricacies of landlord/tenant relations. He enrolled in Suffolk Law for
these studies.

Hannah’s relationship with her nephew Grover lasted through her life-
time. In 1913 Grover married Helen Frances Conolly of Worcester,
Massachusetts. They had four children and lived in Newtonville. They
moved to Wellesley Hills and “Nana Hannah” lived there with them.
Nana Hannah remained the surrogate grandmother of her grandneph-
ews and grandniece. She provided her love and affection to all her fam-
ily.
