Maintenance
Maintenance
There are a few components of the M1-12 that require rou ne maintenance. These components include:
• M1’s Power Control Panel
• Lid seal gaskets
• M1’s Exterior
A er Each Batch Processed
Inspect the hea ng element breakers inside the M1’s Power Control Panel to see if any have “tripped”. A tripped breaker could indicate a faulty or failed hea ng element.
Weekly
Follow proper lock-out/tag-out procedures and check that all electrical connec ons are  ght inside the M1’s Power Control Panel.
Monthly or Each Season
Lid seal gaskets
If the M1-12 is being used con nuously, it is recommended that the lid seal gaskets be replaced as need- ed. The need to replace these gaskets will be indicated by their ability to seal the lid and contain steam during opera on. If the gaskets are not damaged, seasonal replacement may not be necessary.
M1’s exterior
Repair or replace any damaged outer stainless steel plates.
Inspec ons (a er each batch)
The following should be visually inspected for any defects:
• Lid Clamps
• Lid Gaskets
• Hea ng element housings
• Electrical feed lines (for any defects or damage)
In addi on, the interior and exterior of the M1-12 should be visually inspected for any unusual wear and tear or metal fa gue. The interior end exterior of the Power Control Panel should also be visually inspected for any possible component failures. Prior to inspec on of the interior of the Power Control Panel, be sure to follow proper lock-out / tag-out procedures.
