MI Swaco has had success marke ng their kine c thermal technology. This design uses a system of “hammers” that beat the contam- inated materials (typically drilling waste). The impact hammering the materials creates heat which desorbs the contaminantes. While this system has had success in the eld, we believe it has a limited market due to its complexity to manufacture and maintain. Since it is a ameless technology, it has lled a niche market in o shore drill cu ngs treatment.
The downside of this design is its complexity and high cost to manufacture. Below, is a comparison of the CAPEX required for several technologies. Iron Creek’s TECH ZERO has the best CAPEX to throughput ra o.
