Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) - Parents
Q: Is the district going 1:1 with devices?
A: The district is providing devices to all children who need them.
Q: What privacy protocols have been put in place for teachers and students through virtual
instruction?:
A: The video stream is not made public and available through student Google accounts. The webcam will
be pointed down at a 60-degree angle to capture only the teacher zone.
Q: Will Grades K-12 use Google Classroom for the online platform?
A: At this time, K-12 can use Google Classroom and 7-12 can use Blackboard. Reducing the number of
platforms is important to streamline communication and organization.
SPECIAL SERVICES
Q: Will students continue to receive counseling services through School-Based Mental Health/Holy
Family?
A: School-Based Mental Health counseling services will be delivered face to face. Students/families will
be provided with the option of telehealth services. If services are provided face-to-face, Holy Family will
physically distance during sessions. After each session rooms will be sanitized between clients.
Q: Will the Student Assistance Program (SAP), Pupil Services, and Multi-Tier System of Supports
(MTSS) occur?
A: Yes, MTSS, SAP, and Pupil Service meetings will continue to be held but done virtually if physical
distancing is not possible.
Q: Are Stepping Stones programs (LEAP, Before & After-School Programs)
available, and will the administrators follow the guidelines as approved in the Pine-
Richland School District Health and Safety plan?
Yes, Stepping Stones is offering programs during the 2020-2021 school year and will
follow the health and safety protocols.

A: The director of athletics or appropriate building principal has been designated as the primary points of
