Pine-Richland High School currently offers a series of courses in PLTW’s Pathway to Engineering (PTE). PTE provides
students with the opportunity to learn and apply the design process, acquire strong teamwork and communication
proficiency, and develop organizational, critical thinking, and problem solving skills.
Along the way students investigate a variety of careers in STEM fields.
Left & Right: Students
get to build fully
functioning electric guitars
that they created in the
engineering design course.
The lesson is an
interdisciplinary one,
because students must use
knowledge from other
courses such as physics to
complete their projects.
