we stand truly for the Lord Jesus Christ.

Here in our own church we've dealt with

issues of discipline; we've dealt with issues

of divorce, the communion, music, public

schools, birth control, standards, the issue

of sports, the issue of evangelism being

done the wrong way, and we have watched

how people react to those things. I have sat

in business meetings with five deacons in

the meeting and not have one of them

speak up for me. And then in one meeting,

about a week later one came and said, "I'm

with you, brother." I said, "That would have

been a big help about a week ago" —

because he could have changed the whole

course of things.
