and mercy, and upon the Israel of
God.” Romans 6:4 that we were just reading
a moment ago says that we are to walk in
newness of life. That means we are to walk
in the resurrection power that we have in
Jesus Christ. First John 2:6 says, “He that
saith he abideth in him ought himself also
so to walk, even as he walked,” that is,
walking in the Spirit.
Now, here's the key to the whole thing.
Ezekiel 36:27 is dealing with the New
Covenant, and there are two words that
jump out at me in this passage. It says, “And
I will put my spirit within you, and cause you
to walk in my statutes” — two words,
“cause” and “walk.” This is the only way that
