with one another — “But if ye bite and

devour one another, take heed that ye be

not consumed one of another.” Verse 26 is

a similar warning to what we find in verse

15. After saying, “You that are saved have

crucified the flesh, you that live in the Spirit

now walk in the Spirit,” verse 26 says, “Let us

not be desirous of vain glory” — and this

vain glory provokes one another in a bad

way. Now, there's a good way to provoke

one another. Hebrews 10:24 and 25 is a

good way to provoke one another, but this

vain glory in verse 26 is a bad way of

provoking one another and envying one

another.
