Now, you’ll remember a few weeks ago I

preached a message entitled “Biblical

Interpretation,” and I gave you five things that

we are to consider when interpreting the

Bible: (1) Consider the context, (2) A literal

approach to the Bible, (3) Interpret Scripture

with Scripture, (4) Interpret difficult passages in

the light of clear passages, and (5) Depend upon

the Holy Spirit. Now, when you begin reading

through the doctrinal statement of the Seventh-

Day Adventists, you would start reading No. 1,

No. 2, and No. 3 dealing with the Scriptures, the

Trinity, the Father, the Son, and you would say

it sounds just like a Christian organization. And

dealing with the Holy Spirit, Creation, The

Nature of Man, No. 8, The Great Controversy,

No. 9, Life, Death, and the Resurrection, No. 10,

Experience of Salvation, when you read down

through this, you’ll find that they claim to
