persecuted for righteousness' sake” —
again, for Christ’s sake, for the Kingdom’s
sake — “for theirs is the kingdom of
heaven. Blessed are ye, when men shall

revile you, and persecute you, and shall say
all manner of evil against you falsely, for my
sake. Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for

great is your reward in heaven: for so
persecuted they the prophets which were
before you.” We wouldn't need anything
more than just these three verses, but we
have several hundred verses dealing with
this subject.
In Matthew chapter 10 is where Jesus
sends His disciples first to Jerusalem and
the Judaea area only, and notice what He
