When pleasure becomes sinful
Although deriving pleasure from
innocuous activities and from God’s good
and wholesome gifts and provisions is not
sinful in and of itself, it is sinful when a
love for pleasure outweighs our love
for God and our love for God’s
righteousness, and it is sinful to make
pleasure and fun activities the focus
and goal of one’s life. It’s also sinful to
participate in so-called “fun” activities
and entertainment that fall outside the
boundaries of God’s righteousness, and
many movies and television programs fall
