we say and do, pleasurable activities and

any kind of entertainment really serve no

purpose other than self-gratification, and

from the biblical accounts of the life of

Christ, it appears that He never

participated in any activity simply

for self-gratification. There seems to

have been a spiritual and eternal purpose

for all the activities that Jesus participated

in and for all His associations with people,

which would include calling people to

repentance, and that should also be the

mindset of all those who call themselves

Christians and claim to be followers of

Christ.

And the greatest joy is yet to come

for faithful followers of Christ when we

hear our Savior say, “Well done, thou good
