the  date of Christ's birth, and neither Christ



           nor the apostles commanded the celebration



           of His birth nor spoke about it; and not only



           that, there are no examples anywhere in the



           New Testament for celebrating the birth of



           Jesus  Christ.  There  is  nothing  in  the



           Scriptures  that  we  can  follow  and  set  a



           pattern and say, "This is what we're to do on



           December the 25th."  And not only that, for



           the  first  300  years  of  church  history,  the



           church did not celebrate this holiday.




                  Again, I'm for the birth of Jesus Christ. I've



           already preached on it several times this year.



           One of those sermons was "The Mystery of



           Godliness" out of 1 Timothy.  I'm for speaking



           of His birth and speaking of His birth often
