profaned mine holy things: they have put no

difference between the holy and profane,

neither have they shewed difference between

the unclean and the clean, and have hid

their eyes from my sabbaths, and I am

profaned among them.” They put no difference

between what is holy and what is unholy. This

chapter is describing the sins of Jerusalem,

and it says in verse 30, “And I sought for a

man among them, that should make up the

hedge, and stand in the gap before me for

the land, that I should not destroy it: but I

found none.” God was looking for men who

would stand in the gap, stand for the truth,

live the truth and also preach the truth, and

He said He couldn't find one.
