their business, and Elijah said, “Hey, get on
one side or the other and quit straddling the
fence.”
Idolatry is a major issue and a violation of
God's Word. The first three commandments
in Exodus chapter 20, verses 1 through 7, deal
with idolatry, and we’re going to see that
idolatry is the worship of false gods or it is
the worship of the true God in a false way.
Let me say that again. Idolatry is either the
worship of false gods or it is the worship of
the true God in a false way. The first two
commandments deal with this. We're not to
worship false gods, neither are we to worship
the true God in a false way, and he describes
the false way. One writer said, "We are no
