Now, what do I mean when I say “the

origin of Christmas”? Well, Christmas is a

mixture of Christianity and paganism. It

mingles right with wrong. It mingles truth

and false. And here's the question I have to

ask: At what point does paganism end and

Christianity begin in this whole time of year?

I believe it is a compromise. It's a mixture of

true and false worship, and the Lord Jesus

Himself said in John 4, verse 24, that we must

worship God in spirit and in truth.

When we consider the origin of Christmas,

historians and scholars, theologians and

encyclopedias, both secular and religious, all

have a lot to say about this time of year.
