A few years back, a friend of mine took me

to Isaiah 60, and he said, "I'm going to show

you where the Christmas tree comes from

and that it's right and it's holy." We read the

chapter, and it’s not there. And he knew it

wasn't there. He was just trying to justify

something he likes. If you like it and if you

want to do it, do it. You have to stand before

God one of these days. There are a lot of

things about Christmas I can like, but when

we come to the Lord's Word, it's not an issue

of do I like it; it's an issue of what is right and

what is wrong. Sort of like salvation. We've

got to see what God has said in His Word.

A few years ago someone said, “Well, my

German heritage . . .” I don't care about your
