Now, you've heard me preach many times

over the years in this church, and there are

things that we have done or that we do,

customs and whatever that we think have

been around 2,000 years, and when we look

at the Scriptures and consider history, we find

that they've not been around that long. Many

Christians over the years stood against this

holiday. It's not that they hated Christ. They

loved Christ and they were zealous for His

name.

The Scriptures and Customs and Traditions

Colossians 2:8 says, “Beware lest any man

spoil you through philosophy and vain

deceit, after the tradition of men, after the

rudiments of the world, and not after Christ.”
