resurrection of Jesus Christ. The people
asked for a sign, and Jesus said, “I'm going
to give you one sign, the sign of the prophet
Jonas. He was three days and three nights
in the whale's belly,” and Jesus said, “I will
be three days and three nights in the heart
of the earth.” In John chapter 2, verses 11
through the end of that chapter, the
resurrection is the key doctrine of Christianity.
It would have done no good for Christ to die
for sins if there were no resurrection. We
would never know whether our sins had
been paid for. So, number one, if there is no
resurrection, then Christ is not risen.
2. If there is no resurrection, we
remain in our sins. It doesn't matter how
