about doctrine, but look at this. It says,
“…evil communications corrupt” — what? —
“good manners.” We find that television
affects us physically without any doubt. You
cannot get exercise sitting on a couch as a
couch potato eating potato chips watching
somebody else run up and down the
football field with a ball. It does not work.
We have created a generation of overweight,
lazy couch potatoes in America. The
majority of Americans are overweight
today, and one of the reasons is not only the
food we eat, but the average American
watches television four hours a day. We find
that it encourages laziness and idleness, and
the Bible says that we're to redeem the time.
