“Enemies Within,” and that's going to be in

verses 1 through 33; secondly, we're going to

consider “The Conflict of the Sword” that is

mentioned here, and that will be verses 34

through 36, and, number three, we're going to

consider “The Cost of Discipleship,” and that is

verse 37 through verse 39.

Now, we could ask the question this

morning, "Why is there such a tug-of-war in our

Christian life with other Christians, maybe with

friends, maybe with relatives, or even in our

own family? I've seen this year after year after

year. I could start here in the state of Alabama

and head toward the West Coast, and we could

go to Southern California and just go up the

Pacific Coast through Oregon and Washington

and then come back across the Northwest and
