men. We also know that in verse 25 of Luke

chapter 2 Simeon called Jesus Christ “the

consolation of Israel,” that is, the peace that

would come unto them. In Luke chapter 1,

verse 79, Zacharias, John the Baptist's father,

said that Jesus came to guide our feet into the

way of peace. In Matthew chapter 5 and verse

9, Jesus says, "Blessed are the peacemakers,”

that is, the believers. In John 14:27 Jesus said

to His disciples in the upper room, “Peace I

leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not

as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not

your heart be troubled, neither let it be

afraid.” He also said in John 16:33 in the same

context, “These things I have spoken unto you,

that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye

shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I
