You heard me stand in this pulpit and

read exactly what some of the forefathers

believed, and we find that there was a

mixture of Christianity and humanism and

the Masonic order and the philosophy of

reason and all these kinds of things. We've

had Christians in this country, and we've

been influenced by Christianity, and we're

all thankful for that. There have been

thousands of churches across our land, and

we're all thankful for that. But many of the

founders of our country were Christian in

name only and had never been born again

— many of them. Many of them were
