Lest you surmise after reading this booklet that I
am judgmental, overly critical, or have
unreasonable expectations of myself or of others
who profess to be Christians, after studying the
Scriptures, God has shown me that my expectations
are no greater than what God expects of all those
who claim the name of Christ. Second Timothy
2:19 says, “Let every one that nameth the name of
Christ depart from iniquity,” and 1 Peter 1:15
commands believers to “be holy in all manner of
conversation.” In other words, in the lives of both
Christians and nonChristians alike, God does not
“wink” at sin, and according to Galatians 6:7-8,
sin does have its consequences.
