22 through about verse 24, Paul says that, as

Christians — not as a lost person, but as a

Christian — there are some things that we're to

put on and there are some things that we're to

put off, and one of the things that we're to put

on is holiness. In verses 22 through 24 he said,

“That ye put off concerning the former

conversation the old man, which is corrupt

according to the deceitful lusts; 23 And be

renewed in the spirit of your mind; And that

ye put on the new man, which after God is

created in righteousness and true holiness.”

This is the practical aspect of things. He

continues in verse 25: “Wherefore putting

away lying, speak every man truth with his

neighbour: for we are members one of

another”; verse 26, “Be ye angry, and sin not”;

verse 27, “Neither give place to the devil.” And
