and adulteresses” – male and female – “know

ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity

with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend

of the world is” – what? – “the enemy of

God.” This is strong language. And James 1:27

says, “Pure religion” – underline it – “Pure

religion and undefiled before God and the

Father is this” – Here it is –“To visit the

fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to

keep himself unspotted from the world,” in other

words, not to be stained or polluted by the

world. This is pure religion. In 2 Timothy 4:10

God tells us through the Apostle Paul, “For

Demas hath forsaken me, having loved this

present world.”

There is a great contrast between the true

believer and the pagan's lifestyle. I have some

pictures of some of the theaters and the circuses

that were in Rome, because we’re going to be
