Mental health is a person’s emotional, psychological, and social well-being. Mental illness affects a
person’s thinking, feeling, mood, or behavior, such as depression, anxiety, or bipolar disorder. 1 in 5
adults experiences mental illness while 17% of youth (6-17 years) experience a mental health disorder.
