Jakarta - Deputy Governor Ahmad Riza Patria believes that the amount of Jakarta's provincial
minimum wage (UMP) cannot be determined on the basis of a single party's viewpoint but on
inputs from all sides.

"It cannot be decided unilaterally. We have to listen to opinions and inputs," Patria remarked at
the Jakarta City Hall on Thursday.

The deputy governor called for holding dialog and discussions for determining the UMP amount.

Patria echoed his side's keenness to give the best for all, including labor workers, private parties,
community, and the government.

"We will announce it in accordance with the prevailing terms and conditions. We will give our
best," Patria affirmed.

Meanwhile, head of the Jakarta Office of Manpower, Transmigration, and Energy, Andri Yansyah,
revealed that his team had planned to set the increase in the 2022 UMP to come into effect on
Friday, November 18, 2021.

"Insya Allah (God willing), the UMP will be determined on November 19, 2021," Yansyah stated.
