Cheonjiyeon Şelalesi
Jeju Adası yeryüzünün en benzersiz, en güzel adalarından biri. Boşu boşuna dünyanın yedi harikasından biri denmiyor. Sahip olduğu tarihi zenginliklerinin yanında mükemmel bir doğaya da sahip. Görenler bu adaya doğası sebebiyle hayran kalıyor. Öyle engin ormanlar var ki adanın yüzde 70’i orman- lardan meydana geliyor. Asya’nın en güzel bitki örtüsü bu adada çıkıyor karşımıza. Biz de durum boyle olunca pek tabii ormanların içinde gezmeyi, ciğerlerimize oksijen doldurmayı ihmal etmiyoruz. Bu sebeple de rotamıza Hallasen Dağı’nın eteklerine çeviriyoruz.
Bu dağın etekleri tam bir yeryüzü cenneti. Öyle güzel orman- lar var ki bu ormanların yanında da şelaleler gürül gürül akıyor. Ada dediğimize bakmayın, tatlı su kaynakları bakımından çok zengin. Ormanlar ve içlerinden dökülen sayısız şelaleler. Biz de en meşhurlarından birine götürüyoruz sizi, Cheonjiyeon Şela- lesi. Bu bölge Unesco’nun dünya mirası listesinde aynı zamanda ama nasıl olmasın... Her köşesi bir tabiat harikası.
Tabii şelalaye öyle kolay ulaşılmıyor. Önce dağın eteğinde- ki bir köye geliyoruz. Gelince ne görelim her yer taş anıtlar- la dolu. Evet bu taş anıtların da ilginç bir hikâyesi var onu da anlatacağım... Köprülerin başında, ormanın içinde, şelalenin yanında her yerde bu taş anıtlar bizi selamlıyor. Biz de ilginç kültür zenginliğinin içinden geçerek, akarsuların uzerinden yürüyerek bir kez daha Jeju Adası’na hayran kalıyoruz. Çi- çekler renk renk, tür tür, ağaçlar da ise yeşilin her tonu var. Şelalenin oluşturduğu akarsu ise pırıl pırıl. 15-20 dakikalık keyifli bir yürüyüşün ardından artık gelin duvağını andıran bembeyaz dökülen şelaleye ulaşıyoruz. Yaklaşık 12 metre yüksekten dökülen şelale, 9 metre genişliğinde ve döküldü- ğü yerin derinliği ise 20 metre.
Görenler,ormanlarıniçindekibuşelaleiçin‘yeryüzündekicen- net’ diye bahsediyorlar. Daha önce şalale görmüştük ama böyle heybetli böyle mükemmel bir tabiata sahip bir şalale sayılıdır.
Cheonjiyeon Waterfall
Jeju Island is one of the most beautiful, unique islands in the world. That is the reason why it is called as one of the Seven Wonders of the World. In addition to the historical sites, nature is just perfect there. Those who visit the island admire the island for this reason. 70% of the island consists of the forest. We can observe the most beautiful flora in Asia here. Hence, we spend time in the forest and enjoy the fresh air. We visit the foothills of Hallasan for this reason.
The foothills of this mountain are like the paradise on earth. The forest is so beautiful. In addition to the forest, there are waterfalls as well. Although it is an island, it is also very rich in terms of freshwater bodies since there are a rich forest and many waterfalls. Let us take you to one of the most famous waterfalls. Cheonjiyeon waterfall. This region is included on UNESCO’s world heritage list at the same time. Of course... Every corner of the region constitutes a wonder of nature.
Certainly, it is not possible to access easily the waterfall. We first come to a village on the foothills of the mountain. When we arrive there, we observe that there are stone monuments everywhere. There is an interesting story behind these stone monuments; I am going to tell you the story. These monuments welcome us everywhere at the bridges, in the forest, beside the waterfall. By enjoying the cultural richness and walking through the rivers, we are ad- miring once again the beauty of Jeju Island. There are col- orful flowers everywhere while the trees reveal every color of the green; the waterfall just offers a splendid view. After walking for approximately 15-20 minutes, we are reaching the waterfall. It is 12 m high and 9 m wide while the artificial pond at the bottom of the waterfall is 20 m deep.
