Peki zararlı böcekler ve bitki hastalıkları ile ürünün organik yapısını bozmadan ilaç olmadan nasıl mücadele ediliyor?
1. Organik tarımın yapılacağı yer, yerleşim birimlerin- den ve sanayi bölgelerinden ve normal tarım yapılan yer- leşkelerden uzak seçiliyor.
2. Ürünlere zararlı canlıların gelmesini ve yaşamasının sağlayan yabani otlar insan eli ile yok ediliyor.
3. Bitkilere dost ve yararlı böceklerle zararlı böcekler yok ettiriliyor. (Asker gibi görev yapan uğur böcekleri zararlı böceklerin yumurtalarını yiyerek çoğalmalarını engelliyor.)
4. Düzenli olarak zararlıların elle ve araç kullanılarak toplanması yani fiziksel ve mekanik mücadele.
The organic certi cate proofs that the product is natural and additive-free.
Hence, the organic product logo should be placed on the packaging of the products in Turkey for proving the validity.
Why Organic Farming?
It is the agriculture practice which gives the least damage to nature, living creatures and human health.
It does not contain any additives and preservatives.
When the foods are mature, they are immediately col- lected and o ered for sale.
Hence, they contain more vitamin and minerals.
They are not obtained by genetically modi ed seeds. They do not contain GMOs.
They do not contain any pesticide (insecticide, herbi- cide, mold prohibiter, rodenticide, etc.).
How are they ghting harmful insects and plant diseases without disrupting the organic structure of the product?
1. The plants to apply organic farming are selected from the areas away from residential units and industrial zones and from the plants where the normal farming is applied.
2. Weeds, that attract the pests and enable them to live, are removed by the farmers manually.
3. The harmful insects are destroyed with friendly and bene cial insects. (Ladybirds serving as guardian prevent the harmful pests to reproduce since they eat their eggs).
4. They also collect the pests by hand and using the tools, ie. physical and mechanical intervention.
