President Report December 2022:

It’s Summer… woo hoo! Welcome to December, our last “Babble” for 2022. Derek and I would like to
wish each and everyone a very Merry Christmas and a Happy, Healthy and Safe New Year. With that
said, I know there are still a few people who are currently unwell and have been for quite some time.
This year has been quite a whirlwind and slipped by so fast. At the time of putting this together, it has
been a very sad time to say the least, with Martyn riding on. It has been such a shock to us all and no
doubt will be forever missed and forever in our hearts. On Friday 16th December 3.30pm at the Safety
Bay Yacht Club, cnr Safety Bay Rd and Arcadia Drive, Safety Bay, we will be able to celebrate his
amazing life. Please make sure you let me know if you intend on coming as it is a smallish venue and
there will be family, friends, sailing and work friends too because has been so well loved.
We haven’t had our Christmas Party yet, but I know we all are looking forward to it. There will be a
donation handover on Wednesday 14th December to the Salvation Army and we will be supporting our
UCARF too. Taff and Tina are kindly collecting items for K9 so please see the list in the Waffle or phone
them to find out how to help. Thank you to those who have asked for the Branch Banking details for
donating to K9, we will keep you informed, the final total, what has been purchased and when the
collection will take place. We need riders to put your hand up to help fill the new quarter ride calendar
for 2023. Without these rides and get togethers, it would be boooorrring! Every day is a good day
when you wake up, breathe, go for a ride and come back smiling.
That’s a great day!!! Don’t forget to keep Australia Day free for
our Aussie Day BBQ breakfast at the Rockingham foreshore. I
hope to see you out and about soon.

Secretary Report December 2022

Hi Everyone,
We just arrived back from New Zealand this week, and had a great time there.
It was freezing up in the mountains, but we had some nice riding weather on
the north island. Lots of photos & the full story next month. Thanks to President
Julie & Mark for taking photos while we were away!

While we were there we received the sad news about Martyn. It was a real
shock to think we will never see he smiling face again. We have lost 4 members
this year, so it just goes to show you should make the most of life, & do as
much as you can, while you can.
