Warnbro Sound Wanderers have sadly, lost a
great mate after devastating altercation with
a kangaroo whilst out and about on a Sunday
ride. Martyn and Helen joined our branch 3rd
June 2015 bringing with him such an uplifting
personality.
He was our “tousled haired likeable lad” and
always ready for an adventure, offering
friendship to everyone with a huge smile.
Nothing was ever too much trouble and
would help, volunteer, lead rides, safety
chats and just generally supporting and
assisting people, which is why we nominated
him for the well‐deserved Telemachus Medal.
Martyn loved riding, fishing, sailing (not
necessarily in that order) but most of all his
wife, 3 adult children and 4 grandchildren.
They were his world, and was planning 2
great adventures for 2023 of which one of
them was re‐connecting with extended
family in Namibia. He will always be
remembered as a valued member of WSW
Branch Ulysses Club.
