Well, we got to the car park this morning in the car and there was only 1 other car, Keith S. I had
messages from a few members saying they would go directly there, so I knew WSW would have a
reasonable number, Keith W, JC, HC, Martyn, Helen, Taff n Tina and Susan H. Thanks everyone for
coming, because the weather was really cold, rainy, stormy and we even had hail, so I really wasn’t
expecting too many to turn up.
We arrived safely to the Bistro by the Dam, and we were surprised to see more people arriving, 35
members actually. Many in their cars, but wait, what’s that I hear? Yes, a number of bike riders and a
spider rider too. Wow, these guys were brave. Settling in, inside, we saw photos being shown on a
member’s phone of the conditions in North Dandalup… wow! The paddocks and the roads looked like
they had a snow fall, everywhere we looked, was white.
Apparently, there wasn’t even any rain in Hamilton Hill, Spearwood, North Lake, so it was mainly Freo,
Perth and Joondalup that rode their bikes.
Anyway, we had a great brekkie and cuppas, and the new owners were really good. Everything was
served timely and efficiently, we didn’t wait long at all and they
all looked delicious, (I know mine was).
Winner of the wine raffle was Martyn from WSW.
Winner of the membership raffle was Dave Wright.

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us today, great
effort! Well done to Bistro by the Dam, you certainly impressed
us!
