The yanks brag about their 18 wheelers. That’s nice.
This is what 98 wheels looks like!
St. Francis Xavier Cathedral Est. 1857
Sunday morning the weather was perfect for riding, so we headed east through Walkaway to the wind
farm, watching the huge turbine blade woosh through the air. From there we descended into Port
Denison to watch the “Denison sprint”, a time trial around the foreshore & Obelisk in 1970’s cars. The
speed up the hill measured by the local constabulary on their trusty laser guns. It was great the see
the police interacting with the rev-heads in their cars.
The weather stayed nice for the Monday trip home, so we said our goodbyes at breakfast, & hope to
catch up at the Carnarvon rally in June next year.
Thanks to Geraldton branch for organizing a great weekend & congratulations on your 20 years as a
branch!
