 For example, Reuven tells Shimon that Levi told him such-and-such about

 everything!” (and Shimon immediately violates the Lav of “Do not peddle    רבוע התא ירה 'וכו ער םש ליחתמה רובידב םש ם"בשר
 gossip” as I have already explained that according to all poskim  the Lav of
 gossip applies even to truthful statements).  Levi answers Shimon “I never    םוקי אל ביתכד ה"דבו ךימעב ליכר ךלת אלד ואל לע
 said anything of the kind.  Reuven lied!  You cursed me for no reason!”

 confrontation with Reuven.  Shimon tells Reuven “Because of your lies,
 you  pushed  me into a  fight  with  Levi!”   One  sin  leads to  another and    ח"פר הוצמב ם"במרהל תוצמה רפסמ עמשמ ןכו וירבד
 Reuven answers Shimon, “Come with me and I’ll say what I told you    הז ואל יתקתעה מ"מ ד"ב לע קר רמאנ הז ואל רקיעש
 right in Levi’s presence.”  Someone who is intent on polluting himself will
