Thank You Mother, For Not Aborting Me
Dedication

I want to dedicate this book to my wonderful
mother, Klara Jones.
Mother, thank you so much for being such a
great mother to me. You’ve been my example on how
to live, breathe, and walk upright before Jesus Christ.
Mother, I thank you for that. You’ve indeed been my
motivation in writing my current and future novels.
Life for us hasn’t always been easy.
But life for us became so much more remark-
able when you said yes to Jesus Christ 35 years ago.
Forty years ago, my mother-- originally from Germa-
ny -- became a citizen of the United States. My moth-
er worked at a company for 30 plus years and of-
ten had a second and third job to make sure my
older sister Kerry Harris Mitchum, my youngest sister,
Donna Jones, and myself, had what we needed.
Thank you, mother, for all of the most fantastic holidays
and birthdays and the love you provided us on special
holidays.
But most of all, I thank you for your relentless, ef-
fective, and fervent prayers for my sisters and me.
I will never forget your prayers.
