tech kids leaving their classes, Adriana and Emelia spot-
ted each other.
“So, how’s Ureakay?” asked Adriana.
“He’s fast asleep,” said Emelia with a sigh of relief.
“See, I told you he would be in good hands,” Adri-
ana said with a smile.
“Yes sis, you did,“ said Emilia.
Now, are you ready to focus on whatever it is we’re
getting ready to learn?”
“Indeed, I am,” Emelia said as they both laughed
and continued to their next class.
“Excuse me. Adriana Sanchez? That would be you,
right?” Peter Wilcox asked as he pointed to Adriana. Sev-
eral members of the football team accompanied Peter.
“That would be me,” responded Adriana.
Peter Wilcox continued, “And you are Catey An-
derson’s sister, correct?”
“That’s correct,” Adriana responded.
Peter clenched his fist; a vein popped out of his fore-
head. “That protest that your sister organized rubbed a
lot of people that attend this university the wrong way.
My frat brother and our quarterback are out on bond
awaiting trial. If they win, lucky for you. If they lose, bad
news for you!”
“Are you threatening me?” asked Adriana.
“Nope, just making a promise that will not be bro-
ken.”
Not by any means intimidated, Adriana focused
her piercing eyes into Peter’s and yelled,” I rebuke you
in the name of Jesus Christ. The blood of Jesus is against
you, Satan. Get behind me in the name of Jesus, NOW!”
Peter and his teammates had formed a natural
circle around Adriana and Emelia. Anger boiled deep
in their systems, as hot as lava. They all refused to smile
or show any warmth as they watched the young ladies
push through their cirlce and disappear down the corri-
