Dedication

I want to dedicate this book to my Pastor and spir-
itual mother, Dr. Jeannette C. Holmes-Vann, who im-
pacted and influenced my life.

I thank you so much for the choice you made to
say yes to Jesus in 1973. When you said yes to Jesus, the
Lord had me in mind. He saw you raising me spiritual-
ly, teaching me the precepts of God, and ministering
the gospel to me in times of need. I also thank you for
raising me up in the ways of God Almighty. Although
you’ve been walking with God now for 47 years, that
didn’t come without much opposition. It didn’t come
without much ridicule, rumors, lies, hypocrisy, and many
heartbreaks because of people leaving you and talking
about you when you meant them nothing but good.

You were lambasted on the radio and TV for being
a woman pastor when female pastors were rare.
In the ’70s and ’80s, by God’s help, you blazed the
trail for lady pastors. Since then, God has used you to
bring hundreds of thousands -- If not millions -- of souls
to Jesus Christ. By God leading and orchestrating you,
you’ve built several debt-free buildings, including a
school that was complemented with a sports complex
and state-of-the-art gym. By God Almighty’s leading
and his guidance, you’ve released several gospel al-
bums and songs performed by our world-renowned
Hope Chapel Mass Choir.
Thank you for your uncompromising, unwavering
stand for Jesus.
