The purpose of this manual is not to decry your current business lead acquisition practises, but perhaps to gently reinforce the notion that traditional sales and marketing practices no matter how stylised are becoming ever less effective.
Sharpen The Saw!
We’ve all heard the adage that sharpening the saw is a wise prerequisite to a day of timber felling.
Many businesses take this a little too literally. Scripts are re written, sales reps are sent on NLP courses, and sales managers are employed to set ever higher Key Performance Indicators and hopefully to motivate, inspire and perhaps threaten the Sales TEAM in order to compensate for the afore mentioned diminishing returns in prospect acquisition.
There must be a better way! There is – and yes it does involve a trip down that road less travelled. This road is beyond the comfort zone of traditional best practice. This is the road that many seek but few have the fortitude to stay the course.
